We're delighted to be partnered with Bells of Lazonby! Bells, a family bakery, were founded in 1946 and produce baked good for major retailers and high street coffee shops across the UK!
Bells operate two bakeries: a conventional Bakery and a dedicated Gluten, Wheat and Milk Free Bakery avoiding 12 out of the 14 notifiable allergens.
Together, we're looking for a New Product Concept Developer to help create new (delicious!) bakery products for customers. We're looking for someone who can take ideas from their original kitchen concept, through feasibility, then through to bakery trial supporting the customer along this journey.
We want you to have a true passion for food and innovation - like us! You'll keep abreast of market flavours and trends and help create some wonderful products for the UK market.
What we're looking for
- Ideally you'll be chef-trained (pastry/bakery) with a creative flair for new ideas.
- You might have worked in product development before within a manufacturing environment, but equally you might not. We're open to conversation with those with experience or those earlier in their journey.
- You'll need to be able to project manage the development journey and understand the requirements of creating scalable product lines.
- Experience of a commercial kitchen environment would be an advantage, as would experience of liaising with suppliers of raw materials.
