Role: Employee Engagement Specialist
Location: Carlisle
Employment Type: Full-time , Fixed Term 12 Months (will require some flexibility to support people on different shift patterns)
Salary: Circa £40,000 + 10% Bonus
This is an exciting opportunity with a global manufacturing organisation who produce a range of well-known, household brands. With a heritage spanning more than 80 years, their products are loved the world over, and they are looking for an Employee Engagement Specialist to help manage colleague engagement at their site in Carlisle.
Reporting to the HR Business Partner, this is a vital site based role managing the deployment of the Colleague Engagement programme.
The Role
- To work with the Site HR Business Partner and support further development of the site Engagement strategy and roadmap
- Taking full ownership and accountability for the delivery of the Experience agenda at site
- To drive and champion the annual site engagement survey, identifying trends and working with stakeholders on action planning and continuous improvement
- Managing the maintenance of data and analytics to identify focus areas and areas for improvement, measuring and assessing success and impact on an ongoing basis
- To work with the Site Leadership team in a champion capacity to continuously support their cultural change journey
- To maintain a network of contacts within the local community and beyond, driving social connections and CSR opportunities locally
- Establishing rapport with key partners, ambassadors, and site colleagues to ensure that our approach is built from within and is optimally embedded into the site
- Working closely with L&D and other partners i.e., OHW, Recruitment and Comms, to build a fantastic colleague experience into the employee lifecycle
- To drive the diversity, equity, and inclusion agenda at site, leading on action planning to create a sense of belonging and a culture of inclusion
- Manage site communications to ensure the most appropriate channels are being utilised ensuring clear, consistent messaging is shared at vital points in time
- Actively listen and act as a point of conscience for the site leadership team to drive progress and continuous improvement
- Manage the listening strategy for the site
About you
- Proven experience of working in a relevant Experience or Employee led environment with an understanding of the drivers behind Employee Engagement.
- Passion and drive to challenge the norm to help create a better work environment for all colleagues
- Ability to build respected, trusted and supportive relationships with key partners
- A personal desire to continuously learn and develop to ensure new practices and thinking are understood and accepted
