Role: Chief Financial Officer

Location: Manchester or Barrow-in-Furness (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Contract: Permanent or FTC (6 months minimum)

Package: Highly attractive salary + company car / car allowance £9k

Benefits: 10% pension contribution, holidays negotiable for right candidate

 

Our client is an award-winning and revolutionary business delivering whole workforce health programmes to transform health in the workplace, improve productivity and help people live healthier lives. Our client is leading the charge on proactive healthcare and delivers health programmes to critical industries of the UK (Energy and Defence) along with high profile public, private and third sector organisations.

 

The company is now seeking a Chief Financial Officer to appropriate and future proof systems and controls for the management of the business' finances. Giving financial support and guidance on how to sustain and grow the business to the Board and ensuring mandatory compliance.

 

The Role

· Responsible for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and

financial reporting, helping to drive the company’s financial strategy

· Coordinate the development of the annual operating, capital, and program

budgets, and reporting against the same

· Ensure cash flow is compatible with company operations, by overseeing the day-to-

day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal control activities of the

organisation

· Comply with UK and local financial requirements by studying existing and new

legislation, enforcing compliance, and taking action

· Work with the Executive Leadership Team to efficiently develop proposal budgets,

provide access to project finance information, and manage contract/SLA

compliance and reporting

· Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, identify areas of cost

reduction and process enhancement

· Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments,

and evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives

· Ensure the salary and wage run is completed to the bank on time

 

About You

· CIMA, ACCA or equivalent

· 5+ years experience in a Finance based senior leadership position

· Strong experience of providing financial guidance within a contract for services

businesses

· Experienced coach and mentor

· Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning

· Working knowledge of raising capital beyond traditional lines of credit

· Experience with mergers, JV’s, acquisitions and investor relations

· Executive experience with financial business models and systems

· Excellent IT skills, Particularly Excel

· UK driving licence
