Role: Employee Relations Advisor
Employment Type: Permanent, Full time
Location: Penrith (Hybrid 3 days per week in office)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum DOE

  • 33 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays (increases by 1 day after 2 years and 5 years of employment)

The Role

I'm working with a highly recognised, life-changing business in Penrith. Together, we're looking for a new Employee Relations Advisor to join a high performing HR team and help provided dedicated ER support within the business. This would suit someone with a strong ER background as it will involve providing hands-on case management as well as coaching on ER topics to other stakeholders within the business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Proactive case management of ER issues, such as investigation, disciplinaries, grievances, flexible working, absence, performance, capability and workplace concerns.
  • Be the first point of contact for ER advice queries and to facilitate early resolution of ER issues.
  • Ensuring that ER investigations are conducted thoroughly and fairly whilst supporting and coaching line managers on appropriate behaviours and processes.
  • Establish strong working relationships with relevant stakeholders to support the ER agenda whilst upskilling management in essential ER and Policy requirements.
  • Taking ownership of tracking ER activity against metrics, supporting and advising on trends and themes and putting forward recommendations to proactively address underlying issues.

About You

  • A strong track record working within Employee Relations and the ability to manage cases end-to-end
  • Extensive and up to date knowledge of UK employment legislation and its application
  • Effective conflict management skills and the ability to prioritise cases and liaise with colleagues as necessary.
  • A confident and professional approach with strong coaching skills
