We're working with Lakes College. Lakes College is a technical vocational Further Education College delivering education and training to full-time and part-time learners and apprentices to degree level. It has a vibrant campus in West Cumbria with state of the art vocational workshops and resources, including the National College for Nuclear Northern Hub.
Together, we're currently looking for a new Lecturer to develop and deliver theoretical and practical HR knowledge and skills for the Lakes College CIPD Level 3 and Level 5 Apprentices. This role plays an important part of the CIPD skills provision across the region with the L3 and L5 programmes helping to support the development of HR practitioners in county.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Delivering and Enhancing the CIPD provision – Support the planning, development, and monitoring of course modules, ensuring they meet the highest academic and resource standards.
- Curriculum Innovation – Conduct research, develop engaging course materials, and ensure content remains up to date with awarding body guidance.
- Driving Student Success – Provide structured learning opportunities, support students in achieving their academic goals, and initiate pastoral and tutorial support through our Student Mentor team.
- Assessment & Quality Assurance – Prepare and assess assignments, accredit prior learning, and ensure all assessments align with college policies and awarding body requirements.
- Leadership & Collaboration – Take on leadership responsibilities within the department, contribute to cross-college initiatives, and support internal quality assurance processes.

• Recent, relevant industry experience and strong subject knowledge.
