Fast forward to 2024 and they offer 2,000 products, have state-of-the-art technology and facilities, and are a true one-stop shop for the hospitality industry.

This is an exciting time for the business as they look to grow their Sales Team and grow their presence across the North East and into Central Scotland.

This is not an aggressive or transactional sales role. ❌

This is about building strong and genuine relationships with their existing customer base, meeting potential new customers, and helping them find the right products to support their business that will naturally lead to increased sales and sustained growth over time. ✅

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers in your region.
  • Identify new business opportunities and actively follow up on leads
  • Arranging your own customer appointments and managing your diary independently
  • Conduct customer visits, meetings, and product demonstrations
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to ensure long-term customer retention.
  • Recommend repeat-purchase products to help increase customer value over time
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and customer satisfaction
  • Report on sales performance, market trends and growth opportunities.
  • To attend industry events including exhibiting at trade shows and networking events representing the company

This is a field sales role that involves weekly travel within the assigned region. A typical week includes three days on the road meeting customers, with the remaining time spent in the office planning upcoming visits and following up on previous meetings.

About you:

  • Someone who’s friendly, approachable, and enjoys meeting people/building new relationships
  • Experience in a customer service, sales or customer-facing role, preferably within a similar industry such as hospitality or retail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry would be beneficial along with an understanding of market trends in the assigned region.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility is essential as the role involves regular travel and may occasionally require working outside of normal business hours, including weekends, to attend events such as exhibitions and networking activities, including those outside of your assigned region
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the assigned region (company car provided)
