Role: Commercial Revenue Manager
Employer: Carlisle United Football Club
Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time (weekends and evenings when required)
Location: Carlisle (Brunton Park base/hybrid depending on commercial needs)
Salary: Circa £40,000 base + Bonus (Realistic OTE £70-80k per year)
The Role
We're delighted to be working in exclusive partnership with Carlisle United Football Club in recruiting their new Commercial Revenue Manager. Carlisle United is steeped in history; established in 1904, the club is the pride of the city and is one of just two professional football clubs in the region. Under new ownership and with sustained investment moving forward, the Commercial Revenue Manager will be integral to the club's future growth. The role involves developing and implementing strategies to maximise revenue streams, enhance fan engagement, and optimise commercial opportunities.
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the CEO, responsibilities will include:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive revenue generation strategy aligned with the club's business objectives.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with sponsors, advertisers, and commercial partners.
- Negotiate and secure partnerships that contribute to the club's financial growth and visibility regionally, nationally, and internationally.
- Enhance the matchday experience for fans, including hospitality and premium seating options.
- Maximise digital revenue through partnerships, streaming, and content distribution.
- Leverage digital platforms to engage fans and create additional revenue opportunities.
- Implement initiatives to enhance the connection between the club and its fan base.
- Monitor and analyze revenue performance, providing regular reports to the executive team and stakeholders.
About You
We're looking for a true, credible, Business Development professional. You'll provide the strategic direction for commercial revenue streams at the club and help develop new, high-profile commercial partnerships. You'll be able to leverage opportunities on and off pitch, including developing new revenue streams and media platforms. We're looking for someone dynamic, well-networked, and able to confidently manage stakeholder relationships at all levels.
